Following holy Masses all parishes across Belarus will hold special services. Metropolitan of Minsk and Mogilev, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz will host a solemn service at Minsk"s Saint Virgin Mary Cathedral tonight.The first World Day of Prayer for Peace, which is traditionally held in Italy"s Assisi, took place 30 years ago on the initiative of Pope John Paul II. About 400 religion representatives, politicians and culture workers are expected to assemble in Italy today.
