Justice Ministries of Belarus and Brazil signed cooperation agreement

Belarus and Brazil concluded an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. The agreement creates a legal basis for the exchange of information in criminal matters between the law enforcement agencies. The document sets out the legal framework which will enable the parties to take measures to launch criminal proceedings, identify and confiscate the proceeds of crime, obtain testimony, etc. The justice ministries also signed a memorandum of cooperation. It envisages further joint activities, exchange of information on the work of the ministries. In H1 2018 the Ministry of Justice of Belarus has signed similar documents with Spain, Poland and Mongolia.
