June 5, Belarus commemorates Euphrosyne of Polotsk

Today, thousands of believers are gathered in the ancient town of Polotsk. Orthodox from all over Belarus pay tribute and memory to one of the most famous Belarusian ascetics – Reverend Euphrosyne. She lived in the 12th century and devoted her life to spiritual service and enlightenment. Thanks to her, dozens of temples and monasteries were built. The festivities in honor of Euphrosyne of Polotsk began at dawn. Divine services, prayers and a big procession will be held during the day.
