Joint Belarus-Italy project carried out at National R&D Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology in Homel

A joint Belarus-Italy project is carried out at the National R&D Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology in Homel. It is aimed at detection of changes in body cells and early detection of disease. It is the only region where equipment for cervical cancer screening is avaialble. About 120 thousand euros were spent for diagnostics, examination, purchase of the device: the specialists took training courses in Italy. The project will cover several districts of the Homel region and later will be disseminated on the national level.
