Today is the 33rd Anniversary and the International Chernobyl Disaster Remembrance Day. One of the biggest nuclear catastrophes in human history has changed the lives of many Belarusians dramatically. The disaster affected 53 districts of Belarus. Today in Minsk, employees of the Emergency Ministry paid tribute to liquidators of the Chernobyl Disaster. The consequences of the Chernobyl disaster affected 23% of the territories of our country. The rehabilitation of contaminated areas continues. Social policy is aimed at improving housing conditions for liquidators, as well as their recuperation.
