The very same day the year before the five-day visa-free regime of entry through the National Airport Minsk began to operate in Belarus. This opportunity was used by about 55 thousand people from 67 countries. Most of the visitors were citizens of Germany, Poland, Italy, the United States and Great Britain. The most popular is cultural and discovery tourism. The eco-tourism is also in demand. In recent years, medical tourism has developed actively. From January, the term of visa-free stay of foreign citizens in certain areas of the Brest and Grodno regions has been extended to 10 days. Plans are afoot to double the time of visa-free stay for those arriving through the National Airport Minsk. This is expected to happen in July-August.
