II Congress of scientists of Belarus: summarizing event of Year of Science

The role of the Belarusian scientist, integration of science and production, funding of high-impact research are in the pivot of attention of the delegates of the II Congress of scientists of Belarus. The Head of state took part in the forum. Priorities for long-term development were discussed. The President oriented the intellectual elite at tackling topical problems in agricultural industry, modernization of manufactures. Alexander Lukashenko assured: the constructive initiatives and high-impact ideas shall always get a state support. A lot of discussion centered around the key document of the forum – the draft strategy «Science and technologies». Its implementation till 2040 is expected to result in 3% science efficiency of the GDP, while the share of the break-though research will rise to 30%.
