Housing and communal services development

Belarus is looking for new approaches to financing the heating modernization of the housing stock. Today, virtually all housing facilities are privately owned by citizens. The modernization improves the consumer quality of housing and increases its market value. A mechanism is being worked out to determine the state involvement in financing this process. The Belarusian Ministry of Housing and Communal Services also intends to oblige consumers to use only individual heat meters. This will benefit both tenants of apartments and the state. In general, in Belarus, 10% of the apartment buildings have individual heat meters installed.
