House of Representatives adopts amendments to "Law on Protection of Rights of Consumers of Housing and Communal Services"

Stricter control over the quality of housing and communal services in Belarus. Today the House of Representatives have adopted amendments to the "Law on the Protection of the Rights of Consumers of Housing and Communal Services". The controlling functions will be taken over by government customers. This will simplify the relations between consumers and service providers. According to the bill, the state customer is obliged to inform the consumer about the contractors and the services they provide, as well as to coordinate the arrival of specialists with the tenants in advance. The procedures for recalculating fees in case services are not or poorly provided have been simplified.
