Holocaust victims commemorated in Minsk

Minsk commemorates Holocaust victims. Over the time of the terrible genocide of the Jewish people during the Great Patriotic War, more than six million people were exterminated. In the Belarusian capital, the Nazis set up the third largest ghetto in occupied Europe. In the museum of the history of the Great Patriotic War, in the presence of the ex-prisoners themselves and representatives of the Jewish community, six memorial candles were lit, each for every million of victims of the terrible tragedy.
