Grodno Region and India intend to develop cooperation in economy, education and culture

The development of cooperation between Grodno Region and India was discussed at the meeting between Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, and Alok Ranjan Jha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus. The foundations for cooperation were laid in the times of the Soviet Union. In independent Belarus these relations have only been strengthening. Further development of ties between Grodno Region and India is possible in various areas, especially in economy, education and culture. Grodno region and the Indian state of Gujarat are planning to sign a cooperation agreement. This will give a new impetus to cultural and interregional ties.
