«Green» import substitution

The Minsk botanical garden will supply the Belaruisan capital with plants for green space expansion. The biotechnological complex will deliver various sorts of hydrangea, park roses, lilacs, willows, and heathers. Previously, the gardeners had to buy the seeds of one-year plants in Poland and the Netherlands. Starting from this year, they will switch from one-year to longstanding plants. As of now, the collection fund of the botanical garden boasts about seven hundred such species. The biotechnological complex develops the technology of the in vitro cloning. It is breeding of any plant crops from microstalks. The technology gives the advantage to reproduce the seedlings all year round.
