Grandsons of Belarusians who saved Jews handed medals

The descendants of the Belarusians, who risked their lives to saved Jews during the Great Patriotic War, were awarded diplomas and medals of the Righteous Among the Nations. This year two citizens of Belarus were heralded with the honorific. The Ambassador of Israel handed the medals to their grandsons and great-grandsons by. In total, there are more than 700 people in Belarus who have been awarded the title of the Righteous Among the Nations. By the number of Righteous, our country ranks eighth in the world.
