Gomel region restoring red deer population

Belarus’ Gomel region has been restoring red deer population. 60 animals have been released into the wild in the Rechitsa district. Local hunters have placed several feeders for them, and rape was sown in one of the fields. Now there are 450 species in the region. Experts have been working on the restoration of the herd for 4 year as part of the national program «The Belarusian Forest». «The Land of Red Deer» can become a brand of Rechitsa district, attractive for foreign tourists.
