From January 1, customs officials of Belarus to carry out border control at some checkpoints

From January 1, the customs officials of Belarus will carry out border control at some checkpoints. The decree on the optimization of border control was signed by President Alexander Lukashenko. So far this will affect three points – the Kozlovichi freight junction on the border with Poland, as well as two railway links – Gudogai at Molodechno station, on the border with Lithuania, and Bigosovo at Polotsk station, on the border with Latvia. The measures are also aimed at introducing the one stop principle and reducing the time of control procedures.
