40 thousand participants and 18 million trees. These are the first numbers of the Forest Week campaign. The Ministry of Forestry timed the green marathon to the year of native land and the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. The day before, schoolchildren, labor collectives and employees of state bodies planted spruce near the Mound of Glory. The purpose of the action is to form a careful attitude to the forest reserves. In addition to planting trees, participants spruce up the territory near monuments and squares, as well as restore places of mass recreation. The action will last until April 4.
