First hybrid cardiac surgery performed in Belarus

The first hybrid cardiac surgery was successfully performed in Belarus today. A new technique for our country allows minimizing the consequences of a heart attack and, most importantly, it is less traumatic to the patient. The intervention occurs through a small incision between the ribs and a puncture in the neck of the patient. Today, surgeons from Belarus and the USA work at the National Center of Cardiology. Colleagues from Spain and Italy have also come to adopt the experience. In the future, hybrid surgeries will become regular in our country.
