First heart transplant to child in Belarus

In a first for Belarus, a heart was first transplanted to a 10-year-old child. The surgery took place in early June. Now the girl feels great. About fifty heart transplants are carried out in Belarus annually. In 2019, 28 transplants were performed. In the near future, healthcare professionals from London will visit the National Cardiology Center to learn how to perform surgeries using heart models created with a 3-D printer.
