The first Belarusian philosophy congress will gather more than 500 participants from all over the world. It will kick off today in Minsk to become one of the largest forums in the Year of Science. Among the guests are heads of international scientific organizations and foundations, leaders of national philosophical schools. The Congress will unite scientists in their effort to address fundamental tasks of the development of the state, society and culture, and will serve as a demonstration of the achievements of the intellectual potential of Belarus. The opening of the Belarusian-Chinese Center of Philosophy and Culture is planned for tomorrow at the Academy of Sciences. President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the congress.
