Exotic fruits grown in Lida

Exotic fruits can now be grown in Lida. Lemons, dwarf pomegranates and even bananas are grown in the greenhouses of the local "Zelenkhoz" company. Harvesting is planned for early summer. The experiment on growing tropical plants began several years ago. As to the taste, the fruits are not inferior to overseas products. Special conditions are not required for them, only heat and high humidity are needed. For the rest, the fruits are undemanding, like Belarusian tomatoes and cucumbers. In addition, Lida ponders over the industrial cultivation of exotic plants.
