Ivatsevichy district became the venue of the XIII school for emergency preparedness of the Belarusian Red Cross. Volunteers, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as a Russian organization took part in the exercises. About 100 people settled in a field camp and practiced rescue operations during floods caused by heavy rains and a hurricane. The participants of the large-scale training searched for the missing and provided assistance to the victims, practiced organizing events on the water, also helped victims with mass injuries, and honed first aid skills.
