Emergencies ministry checked subway system on readiness to emergencies

Readiness of the subway system to shelter population in case of an emergency or military situation was checked in the night. The tube station Mikhalovo of the capital city became a training ground for EM and subway workers for several hours. The drill was carried out in two stages. During the first stage, heads of the emergencies departments got to know the potential of the Minsk tube stations in sheltering the population in case of a large-scale emergency. For the period, the Minsk subway becomes autonomous – it provides basic utilities for the people to wait untill alarm recall.
