A modern plant for the production of drugs for the treatment of HIV and viral hepatitis in Skidel will be fully operational by the end of the year. The joint Belarusian-Indian project is being implemented on the basis of the existing Belmedpreparaty plant in the town near Grodno. More than 60 new jobs have been created here. After reaching the design capacity, it is planned to produce up to 6 million pills and more than 3 million capsules per year. Some of the products will be exported. There are two more Belmedpreparaty plants for the production of drugs in the Grodno region. Now plans are being worked out to expand the range of pharmaceutical products they offer.
