Draft law on amnesty being prepared for consideration by MPs

The draft law on amnesty is being prepared for consideration by MPs at the current session. The document will be distinguished by a number of novelties. Traditionally, amnesty is announced on the eve of significant dates for the state. This time it is timed to the 80^th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders. The specific date of discussion of the bill has not yet been determined. But it is expected to be considered in two readings at once. Amnesty may be applied to more than 7 thousand convicts.
