Today has seen the launch of the next stage of the parliamentary election campaign inBelarus- the registration of candidates for the National Assembly. Relevant decisions will be made by the district commissions based on several criteria. Thus, persons who have over 15% of false voter signatures in their signature sheets, as well as significant errors in the declaration of income and assets, can be denied registration.The registration will run until 11 August to be followed by election campaigning. The elections are scheduled to be held on 11 September.
