Distinguished Belarusians receive state awards

State awards were presented to the best representatives of the country’s labor collectives at the instruction of the Belarusian president. The list includes more than 100 awardees. Among them are representatives of the industrial sector, agriculture, healthcare, and also teachers, scientists, and coaches. According to Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Rumas, each of the recipients made significant contribution to the development of independent Belarus. «The year 2018 was not an easy one. We will take stock of it early in 2019. We, however, managed to achieve certain results by joint efforts. Among them are a balanced foreign trade and an improved balance of payments. The consumer market is stable», the head of government said.

The commendation letters from the president were awarded to coaches and teachers for the long-term and fruitful work to develop and popularize physical culture and sports.
