The senators are to take office on 12 October. The House of Representatives of the 6th convocation is scheduled to hold its first meeting tomorrow. The event will be opened by Central Election Commission Chair Lidia Yermoshina by presenting certificates to the deputies. The senators will take up their duties on Wednesday.Last week saw a joint meeting of the parliamentarians of the 5th and 6th convocations featuring the President, who urged the deputies and senators to immediately proceed with solving important problems in the economy, social sphere and education.
