Decree on housing construction savings

Belarusians will now have an opportunity to accumulate money in special bank accounts as deposits to further use them for improving their living conditions. The funds will be used as targeted loans at below market interest. The corresponding decree was signed by the President. All banks and all citizens of the country will have this opportunity. Participants will receive a premium from the state, exempt from income tax. The minimum required amount of savings for obtaining a loan is at least 30 percent of the contractual amount.
