The control services of Poland continue to maintain a collapse at the border with Belarus, as a result of which the number of passenger cars to enter Poland has exceeded the mark of 2.300 units. The critical situation has persisted for several days. Despite the increased load on the only route to Poland and multi-kilometre queues, the Polish side is not taking action to resolve the situation. As of 10:00 on 8 January, about 2.400 vehicles were waiting to enter Poland in front of the Terespol (Brest) border crossing point. Polish control services have been processing only 34% of the normal number of vehicles for four days. The State Border Committee asks to take this information into account when planning a trip by car to the EU countries and to monitor the situation in front of the Belarusian checkpoints in real time on the portal of the State Border Committee and in the mobile application "Border of Belarus".
