COVID-19 vaccine trials to start October 1

The trials of the Russian Sputnik Five COVID-19 vaccine will begin in Belarus on October 1, the Health Ministry said. It is planned that 100 citizens of our country will take part in the study. The tests themselves will take place in seven Minsk and one Vitebsk healthcare institutions. The trials of the vaccine are planned to be carried out in a double-blind, placebo-controlled method, the same way the large-scale vaccine trials will be conducted in Russia. Two Belarusian clinics have already received the first batches of the vaccine.
