Council of Republic nominates candidate to Belarusian People's Congress Presidium

Members of the presidium of the upper house of parliament unanimously supported Sergei Sivets. He holds the position of Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs and National Security. Delegates will vote in support or against nominated candidates to the Presidium of the Belarusian People's Congress on the first day of the meeting on April 24. Elections for the presidium of the supreme body of democracy will be held publicly and transparently. A number of other issues related to the work of the Belarusian People's Congress were also brought up at the meeting.
