Constitutional Commission’s fourth meeting

The participants of the fourth meeting of the Constitutional Commission discussed the possibility of limiting the legislative function of Belarus president regarding the issuance of decrees in order to more fully implement the legislative function of the parliament. Proposals on altering the functions and powers of the parliament – the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus – are being considered. During the discussion, the commission did not support the proposal for a unicameral parliament.
