Constitution Day is celebrated in Belarus today. The fundamental law of the country was adopted 25 years ago. Traditionally on this day all over the country, schoolchildren who have already turned 14, receive their first passports. Government officials will hand over the document to the winners of academic and sports competitions and all those who, despite their young age, have already made their contribution to the development of the country. President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated all the compatriots on the occasion. Adoption of the Constitution allowed Belarusians to fulfill the desire to be masters in their own land, the head of state noted.
