A commemorative plaque in honor of the famous Polish composer Czesław Niemen has been unveiled in Grodno. A memorial sign was installed on the facade of the former music and pedagogical school, where in the mid 1950s the musician studied. In 1958, his family moved to Gdansk from the Shchuchin District, Belarus. In the early 60s, Czesław Niemen began performing on the Polish stage and even participated in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Munich.
