Catholics and many other Christian denominations celebrate Christmas Eve on December 24th. Traditionally, ahead of this wonderful holiday, families visit churches, decorate Christmas trees and prepare a lean Christmas dinner. Christmas services are held across Belarus for the country's second most numerous denomination. The central divine service is hosted by at the Church of Mother of God of Fatima in Zhodzino. This night a live broadcast of the solemn mass and the main Christmas service in the Vatican is aired.
