Car Free Week taking place in Belarus

Belarus actively supported the Car Free Week. More than 60 Belarusian cities and towns have joined the international campaign, the idea of which is to abandon personal cars in favor of bicycles or public transport. The week will culminate in the World Car Free Day on September 22. On this day in Minsk, car owners can travel free of charge by public transport. One is only required to carry a driving license and a technical passport for the car. In Belarus, the Car Free Day is held regularly since 2008.
