Car Free Day celebrated today

Belarus joined the World Car Free Day. Today, those car owners who leave their car at home will be able to use public transport free of charge. One just needs to present one's license and registration certificate. Belarus has been taking part in the action since 2008. According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, on this day alone the volume of pollutant emissions is reduced by 250 tons. A Car Free Day was initiated in order to demonstrate the importance and urgency of the problem of air pollution.
