As the tradition has it, a large-scale bicycle run was held in the Belarusian capital on the Car-free day. More than one hundred representatives of city organizations started at the “Lebyazhy” aqua-park. Heads of the communal services, industrial enterprises and educational establishments rode the bicycles from the very morning. The route lay along the main bicycle thoroughfare – the Pobeditely avenue. A race of electric devices was organized in the Gorky park. Those who preferred ecologically-friendly transport to cars today, get fruit as gifts. On production of a driver’s license and a car registration certificate, one can use the public transportation free throughout the whole day.
