Campaigning for candidates for local councils continues in Belarus

Candidates for the local elections in Belarus continue to attract the voters. The stage of campaigning takes place throughout the country. From today, applicants for deputies have the opportunity to speak on the radio. Each candidate has at least three free minutes. This time is enough to tell not only about candidate’s personality, but also to outline working plans in the district and to acquaint the audience with its electoral program. The speeches will be presented on local radio stations on weekdays during the prime time. In the local elections, television airtime is not granted to candidates. But, for example, for the money of a personal financial fund, which every candidate for deputy has the right to open, electoral programs can be published in local newspapers.
