Bridge over the Pripyat to be opened in Zhitkovichi district today

Belarus continues the week of November 7 gifts. Today in Zhitkovichsky district a bridge across the Pripyat will be opened. This is a strategically important object, the construction of which took into account all the shortcomings of the previous design. The bridge, which is about a kilometer long and weighs over three thousand tons, has connected the two banks of the river for 30 years. Despite the modernization in December 2017, some cracks appeared. The traffic over the bridge was prohibited. This time the supporting structure was made of metal. The span is of Russian production. Today, the two cities - Zhitkovichi and Turov - become much closer again.
