Border post «Loev» named after N.Sushanov

The name of Nikolai Sushanov was assigned to the «Loev» border post of the Gomel border group. The decree was signed by the President of Belarus. During the liberation of the village 75 years ago, the party organizer of the battalion of the 106th Trans-Baikal Division, consisting of border guards, was one of the first to cross the Dnieper river. Senior Lieutenant Nikolai Sushanov organized fighter squads and held a bridgehead until the main forces approached, for which he was awarded the rank of Hero of the Soviet Union. It should be noted that today there are 13 namesake units in the border service.
