Blizzards and snow drifts across Belarus

An orange hazard level has been declared in Belarus today due to heavy snow and gusty winds. Most of the country is subject to heavy snowfall. To help the communal services, volunteers joined in clearing snow drifts. In the Mogilev region, activists of the youth council of the regional association of trade unions provide assistance to a specialized children's home. Volunteers also help residents of remote villages in clearing the snow. Hot lines operate in all districts. Forecasters warn that blizzards and snow drifts are expected to continue Belarus until the end of the week.
