Big Traders' Market opens in Minsk

A Christmas market called «Большой гостиный двор» (The Big Traders' Market) has opened at Svabody Square in the cultural center of Minsk. Here one can see 18 pavilions, decorated with traditional Belarusian paper cuts (vytinankas) and «painted carpets». Christmas trees, hot drinks, shopping malls with handmade souvenirs. A musical program is planned every evening. The stage has been protected from the cold. The Big Traders' Market featuring cuisines from around the world will stay open until January 5.
