The whole history of the Armed Forces and famous battles is associated with the activities of engineering troops. Their work remains relevant in peace time, as they deal with flood control, construction, mine clearing and the elimination of Great Patriotic War ammunition. In 2015, about 30 mobile units disposed of over 11,000 unexploded ordnances.
