Belarusians are marking Vyshyvanka Day. Vyshyvanka is a casual name for the embroidered shirt in Belarusian national costumes. The geometric pattern of our ancestors contains a certain meaning, which is still difficult to spell out. Each region had its own distinctive features. The ethnic image can be seen in street art. Modern artists, including foreign ones, depict the characters of their paintings in vyshyvanka or use the pattern of the national costume as a background. The national ornament can also be seen in the state symbols of Belarus. The vertical ornamental strip of the national flag contains the code of the connection of generations, wellbeing, wealth, life and harvest.
