Belarusian surgeons perform rare operation

Belarusian surgeons have performed a rare operation. A patient from Ukraine had a large tumor in the spinal cord. The tumor was located inside the cord itself, which is a rare pathology and doctors in other countries refused the surgery. However, after a complete examination of the patient the Belarusian surgeons still decided to intervene. The patient's condition after the intervention is satisfactory. By the way, our neurosurgeons already had a similar experience. Each year they operate on about 10 patients with such tumors. Last year alone, 350 patients from abroad contacted the National Scientific Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery for a consultation. 65 of them were operated by Belarusian neurosurgeons.
