Belarusian rescuers help battle wildfires in Latvia

Belarusian rescuers continue to battle wildfires in Latvia. Six members of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry helicopter crew together with pilots of the armed forces of Lithuania and Latvia have been evacuating local residents from the disaster area. It can take a week to douse peatlands and forests fires in the Talsi region of Latvia. We remind you that following the instruction of the Belarusian President, the Emergencies Ministry’s helicopter was sent to Latvia. Yesterday it dumped over 50 tons of water in the fire areas.
