The first harvest of Belarusian potatoes has been harvested in Dagestan. The seeds of a special selection are from the presidential farmstead. Khizri Asadulaev, a native of Dagestan, asked the Head of State for an unusual gift. Instead of a couple of kilogrammes of tubers, Aleksandr Lukashenko presented more than 100. The Pershatsvet variety has taken root perfectly, the yield is high — the best option for mountainous conditions. On the occasion of the first harvest, a holiday was held in the village of Karata — the Day of the Belarusian dranik. The authorities promise: it will become traditional. It will be celebrated every third Saturday in September. Belarus and Dagestan are also business partners. Belarus supplies products to the Caucasus, and Dagestan sends textiles, nuts and dried fruits in return
