Belarusian and Chinese scientists have created specific nanoparticles for the treatment of malignant tumors

Belarusian and Chinese scientists have successfully completed a project to develop polymer nanoparticles for the treatment of malignant tumors. This technology formed the basis of a new method, sonodynamic therapy, which allows the targeted destruction of cancer cells. It took 2 years from the beginning of the research to the first intermediate stage. Due to their special properties, nanoparticles are able to penetrate inside and accumulate there unnoticed by tumor cells. According to the project, it is injected into the body and concentrated in the tumor cells, followed by ultrasound. Under its influence, these particles trigger certain reactions that destroy the cancer cell from the inside.
