Belarus to award up to 100 scholarships to foreign students

Belarus will award up to 100 scholarships to foreign students starting from September 1, 2019. This decision was formalized in Belarus President’s decree and published on the National Legal Internet Portal. The scholarship recipients will be enrolled in state-run institutions of higher learning or vocational schools. The scholarships will cover tuition fees and will be awarded in line with the quotas determined by the Education Ministry. The number of foreign students in Belarus has grown by 20% for the last 5 years. Most of the students are from Turkmenistan, Russia and China.
